MAX202CPE+ General Description

IC TRANSCEIVER RS232 5V 16-DIP

The MAX202CPE+ is designed as one kind of ±15kV ESD-protected, +5V RS-232 transceiver device that can be used in (1)portable computers; (2)low-power modems; (3)interface translation; (4)battery-powered RS-232 systems; (5)multidrop RS-232 networks applications. And this device comes in 16-pin TSSOP, narrow SO, wide SO, and DIP packages.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MAX202CPE+ can be summarized as:(1)Lead Temperature (soldering, 10sec): +300°C;(2)Storage Temperature Range: -65°C to +165°C;(3)Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +85°C;(4)Short-Circuit Duration, T_OUT: Continuous;(5)VCC: -0.3V to +6V;(6)V+: (VCC - 0.3V) to +14V;(7)V-: -14V to +0.3V.
