MWS

      MWS is a metallized polyester film capacitors for high voltage applications.It has 2 features.The first one is about high voltage.The second one is about Voltage Multipliers.
      The following is about the general specification of MWS.Operating Temperature Range should be from -55°C to +105°C.Capacitance Tolerance is +/- 10% at 1kHz and 20°C.There are also some description about rated voltage of MWS.VDC is 2500V corresponding to VAC is 500V.500V.VDC is 4000V corresponding to VAC is 750V.VDC is 6300V corresponding to VAC is 1000V.VDC is 10000V corresponding to VAC is 1200V.For T>85°C the rated voltage must be decreased by 1.25% per °C.Dissipation Factor(max) should be 0.8% at 20°C when Freq is 1 kHz and C<0.1F.
Dissipation Factor(max) should be 1.5% at 20°C when Freq is 10 kHz and C<0.1F.Dissipation Factor(max) should be 3.0% at 20°C when Freq is 100 kHz and C<0.1F.Dissipation Factor(max) should be 0.8% at 20°C when Freq is 1 kHz and C>0.1F.Dissipation Factor(max) should be 1.5% at 20°C when Freq is 10 kHz and C>0.1F.Insulation resistance @20°C(<70% RH)for 1 minute is not less than 100,000M.It is about load life test.Aging should be 2000 hours at 125% of rated voltage and at 85°C under the condition of capacitance change 5% change from initial value,dissipation factor0.003 at 10kHz and 25°C,insulation resistance50% of minimum specification.The following is about damp heat test.Aging is 56 days at +40°C+/-2°C with 93%+/-2% relative humidity under the condition of capacitance change 5% change from initial value,dissipation factor 0.005 at 1kHz and 25°C,insulation resistance 50% of minimum specification.Self inductance is less than 1nH/mm of body length and lead wire length.
Capacitance drift is less than <1.0% up to 40°C after 2 years.Temperature coefficient +400ppm/°C and +/- 200ppm/°C.Dielectric is polyester.Electrodes is vacuum deposited metal layers.Construction is extended metallized carrier film and internal series connections.Leads is tinned copper wire.Coating is flame retardant polyester tape wrap (UL510)with epoxy end seals (UL94V-0).
