The 40CTQ045SPbF center tap schottky rectifier is designed to be optimized for very low forward voltage drop, with moderate leakage.It would be reliable for operation up to 150 °C junction temperature with help of the proprietary barrier technology.Its typical applications are in switching power supplies, converters, freewheeling diodes,and reverse battery protection.
It has eight freatures.The first one is that it would have 150 °C TJ operation.The second one is that it would have center tap configuration.The third one is that it would have very low forward voltage drop.The fourth one is that it would have high frequency operation.The fifth one is that it would have high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance.The sixth one is that it would have guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability.The seventh one is that it would be lead (Pb)-free ("PbF" suffix).The last one is that it would be designed and qualified for Q101 level.That are all the features.
There are some major ratings and characteristics about it.Its If(av) with the characteristics of rectangular waveform would be 40A.Its Vrrm would be 45 V.The third one is about its Ifsm with tp = 5 s sine would be 1240 A.The fourth one is about its Vf with 20 Apk, TJ = 125 °C (per leg) would be 0.48 V.The Tj range would be - 55 to 150 °C.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points.The first one is about its maximum average forward current which would be 20A per leg and 40A per device with the test condition of 50 % duty cycle at TC = 116 °C, rectangular waveform.The second one is about its maximum peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current per leg which would be 1240A with the test condition of 5 s sine or 3 s rect. pulse and would be 350A with the condition of 10 ms sine or 6 ms rect. pulse.The third one is about its non-repetitive avalanche energy per leg which would be 20 mJ with the test condition of Tj = 25 °C, IAS = 3 A, L = 4.40 mH.The fourth one is about its repetitive avalanche current per leg which would be 3A with the test condition of current decaying linearly to zero in 1 s and frequency limited by TJ maximum VA = 1.5 x VR typical.That are all the maximum ratings.
