The ADXL311JE is one member of the ADXL311 family which designed as the low cost, low power, complete dual-axis accelerometer with signal conditioned voltage outputs, all on a single monolithic IC. This device can be used in (1)tilt and motion sensing in cost-sensitive applications; (2)smart handheld devices; (3)computer security; (4)input devices; (5)pedometers and activity monitors; (6)game controllers; (7)toys and entertainment products. And it contains a polysilicon surface-micromachined sensor and signal conditioning cir-cuitry to implement an open-loop acceleration measurement architecture.
Features of the ADXL311JE are:(1)high shock survival;(2)single-supply operation;(3)BW adjustment with a single capacitor;(4)X-axis and Y-axis aligned to within 0.1° (typ);(5)low power < 400 A (typ);(6)5 mm * 5 mm * 2 mm CLCC package;(7)dual-axis accelerometer on a single IC chip;(8)high resolution;(9)low cost.
The absolute maximum ratings of the ADXL311JE can be summarized as:(1)acceleration (any axis, unpowered):3,500 g, 0.5 ms;(2)acceleration (any axis, powered, VDD=3 V):3,500 g, 0.5 ms;(3)VDD:-0.3 V to +0.6 V;(4)output short-circuit duration, (any pin to commom):indefinite;(5)operating temperature range:-55°C to +125°C;(6)storage temperature:-65°C to +150°C.
