CPC5610A General Description

The CPC5610A is one member of the CPC5610 family which designed as the silicon data access arrangement (DAA) ICs that can be used in data and voice communication applications such as:(1)satellite and cable set-top boxes; (2)V.90 (and other standard) modems; (3)fax machines; (4)voicemail systems; (5)computer telephony; (6)PBXs; (7)telephony gateways; (8)embedded modems for such applications as POS terminals, automated banking, remote metering, vending machines, security, and surveillance. This device also incorporates the required high-voltage isolation barrier in the surface-mount SOIC package.

Features of the CPC5610A are:(1)full-duplex data and voice transmission;(2)operates at all modem speeds, including V.90 (56K);(3)transformerless telep-hone line isolation interface;(4)3.3 or 5 V power supply operation;(5)half-wave ring detector (CPC5610) or full-wave ring detector (CPC5611);(6)caller ID signal reception;(7)small 32-pin SOIC plastic package;(8)printed-circuit board space and cost savings;(9)meets PC Card (PCMCIA) height requirements;(10)easy interface with modem ICs and voice CODECs;(11)line-side circuit powered from telephone line;(12)TTL compatible logic inputs and outputs;(13)CPC5610 and CPC5611 comply with UL1577;(14)worldwide dial-up telephone network compatibility.
