CS4340-KSZ General Description

The CS4340-KSZ is a type of complete stereo digital-to-analog system including digital interpolation, fourth-order del ta-sigma digital-to-analog conversion, digital de-emphasis and switched capacitor analog filtering. The advantages of this architecture are shown below: suitable differential linearity, no distortion mechanisms due to resistor matchin g errors, no linearity drift over time and temperature and a high tolerance to clock jitter.The CS4340-KSZ allows data at audio sample rates from 4 kHz to 100 kHz, consumes very little power, and operates over a wide power supply range. The features of the CS4340-KSZ are suitable for DVD players, CD players, set-top box and automotive syste ms.

Features of the CS4340-KSZ are:(1)101 dB dynamic range; (2)-91 dB THD+N; (3)+3.0 V or +5.0 V power supply; (4)low clock jitter sensitivity; (5)filtered line-level outputs; (6)on-chip digital de-emphasis for 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz; (7)33 mW with 3V supply; (8)popguard technology for control of clicks and pops; (9)lead-free packaging available.

The absolute maximum ratings and analog characteristics of the CS4340-KSZ can be summarized as:(1):DC power supply is-0.3V min and 6.0V max;(2):input current(any pin except supplies) is±10 mA max;(3):digital input voltage is-0.3V min and VA+0.4V max;(4):ambient operating temperature (power applied) is-55°C min and 125°C max; (5):st-orage temperature is-65°Cmin and 150°C max.Analog characteristics:(1):interchannel isolation is 102dB typ;(2):in-terchannel gain mismatch is 0.1dB typ;(3):minimum AC-load resistance is 3k typ;(4):maximum load capacitance is 100pF typ.
