The LM2670 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits which provide all of the active functions for a stepdown (buck) switching regulator capable of driving up to 3A loads with excellent line and load regulation characteristics.The LM2670SX-5.0 belongs to LM2670 series.
Features of the LM2670SX-5.0 are:(1)efficiency up to 94%;(2)simple and easy to design with (using off-the-shelf external components);(3)150 m DMOS output switch;(4)3.3V, 5V and 12V fixed output and adjustable (1.2V to 37V ) versions;(5)50A standby current when switched OFF;(6)±2% maximum output tolerance over full line and load conditions;(7)wide input voltage range:8V to 40V;(8)external sync clock capability (280KHz to 400KHz);(9)260 KHz fixed frequency internal oscillator;(10)−40 to +125 operating junction temperature range.
The absolute maximum ratings of the LM2670SX-5.0 can be summarized as:(1):the input supply voltage is 45V;(2):the ON/OFF pin voltage −0.1V to 6V;(3):the switch voltage to ground −1V to VIN;(4):the boost pin voltage VSW + 8V;(5):the feedback pin voltage −0.3V to 14V;(6):the power dissipation is internally limited;(7):the ESD is 2 kV;(8):the storage temperature range −65 to 150;(9):the soldering temperature wave is 4 sec, 260;(10):the soldering temperature infrared is 10 sec, 240;(11):the soldering temperature vapor phase is 75 sec, 219.
