LTC3455 General Description
The LTC®3455 is a complete power management solutionfor a variety of portable applications. The device containstwo synchronous step-down DC/DC converters, a USBpower controller, a full-featured Li-Ion battery charger, aHot Swap output, a low-battery indicator, and numerousinternal protection features. The LTC3455 provides asmall, simple solution for obtaining power from threedifferent power sources: a single-cell Li-Ion battery, a USBport, and a wall adapter. Current drawn from the USB busis accurately limited under all conditions. Whenever a USBor a wall adapter is present, the battery charger is enabledand all internal power for the device is drawn from theappropriate external power source. All outputs are dis-charged to ground during shutdown to provide completeoutput disconnect. The device is available in a4mm × 4mm 24-pin exposed-pad QFN package
