The M62255FP is intended to be used a general purpose battery charger control for Note PC. The M62255FP contains the functions which are required for the battery charge control ,on single chip using low peripheral component requirement .
The M62255FP can handle battery charge control, monitor battery temperature and prevent from over current and voltage with microcomputer. It contains DC-DC converter circuit which can be used for the feedback control of the charge current and the output voltage.
It is the best fit for Smart Battery Charger.

M62256FP is a semiconductor integrated circuit designed to control the battery charger. This IC controls not only all the time sequence needed for battery charging,but also gives full support for detection of battery temperature,protection over current and voltage,and safety timer,etc. It is also a simple matter to charge Ni-Cd,Ni-MH batteries by adding a small peripheral components to this IC.
This IC has a feedback controlling of the charge current and the output voltage.

• Built-in CR oscillator is used for internal logic.

• Built-in LED drive circuits for displaying the status of the power supply and charging/discharging.
• Built-in System Reset circuit for detecting the power supply voltage.
• Built-in initialization timer and safety timer enable -V error detection and over-charging.
• Built-in temperature detection circuit for the Ni-MH battery
• Built-in voltage and current control circuit which enables feedback to the primary side of the SMPS.
• Built-in protective functions including detection of over-voltage in charge mode and over-current in adapter mode, and others.

The M62258FP is designed as general purpose battery charger control. The M62258FP has function which require for the batterycharge control on single chip. Not only the combination of M62258 and microcomputer capable of handing battery charge control, but also it is capable of monitoring battery temperature,prevent from over current or voltage, using minimal peripherals. It also has feedback function to the primary side of SW power supply, which can used to control feedback of charge current and output voltage.
