MC3357 General Description

The MC3357 is a kind of low power marrowed FM IF which is designed for use in FM dual conversion communications equipment.

Features of the MC3357 are:(1)low drain current(3.0 mA typ at Vcc is 6.0 Vdc); (2)excellent sensitivity: input limiting voltage-(-0.3 dB)=5.0 uV typ; (3)low number of external parts required; (4)recommended MC3372 for replacement/upgrade.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MC3357 can be summarized as:(1): power supply voltage(Vcc max, pin 4) is 12 Vdc; (2): operating supply voltage range(Vcc,pin 4) is 4 Vdc to 8 Vdc; (3): detector input voltage(pin 8) is 1.0 Vp-p; (4): input voltage(Vcc6.0 volts, pin 16) is 1.0 VRMS; (5): mute function(pin 14) is -0.5 Vpk to 5.0 Vpk; (6): operating ambient temperature range(Ta) is -30 to +70; (7): storage temperature range(Tstg) is -65 to +150.
