The MIC37502BR is one member of the MIC37502 family which designed as the 5A low-dropout linear voltage regulator that provides a low voltage, high current output with a minimum of external components. It can be used in (1)LDO linear regulator for low-voltage digital IC; (2)PC add-in cards; (3)High efficiency linear power supplies; (4)SMPS post regulator; (5)Battery charger. Also this device is designed to drive digital circuits requiring low voltage at high currents (i.e. PLDs, DSP, microcontroller, etc.).
Features of the MIC37502BR are:(1)5A minimum guaranteed output current; (2)500mV maximum dropout voltage; (3)ideal for 3.0V to 2.5V conversion; (4)ideal for 2.5V to 1.8V, 1.65V, or 1.5V conversion; (5)stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitor; (6)wide input voltage range:; (7)VIN: 2.3V to 6.0V; (8)+/-1.0% initial output tolerance; (9)fixed and adjustable output voltages; (10)excellent line and load regulation specifications; (11)logic controlled shutdown; (12)thermal shutdown and current limit protection; (13)reverse-leakage protection; (14)low profile S-Pak package.
