The MIC4682YM is one member of the MIC4832 family which designed as the low noise 220Vp-p electroluminescent lamp (EL) driver that can be used in (1)LCD panel backlight; (2)mobile phones; (3)PDAs; (4)pagers; (5)calculators; (6)multimedia players; (7)remote controls; (8)GPS receivers. Also this device is a high-voltage EL driver that has two internal oscillators to control the switching MOSFET and the H-bridge driver.
Features of the MIC4682YM are:(1)1.8V to 5.5V DC input voltage; (2)220Vpp output voltage capable; (3)Low audible noise EL drive waveform; (4)supports EL panel sizes up to 3in ; (5)low 45A operating supply current; (6)small inductor size with low profile (220uH); (7)tiny 8-pin 3mm x 3mm MLF package; (8)adjustable boost converter frequency; (9)adjustable el lamp frequency; (10)10nA shutdown current.
The absolute maximum ratings of the MIC4682YM can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage (VDD):-0.5 V to 6.0 V;(2)output voltage (VCS):-0.5 V to 120 V;(3)EL lamp terminals (VA, VB):VCS+3V;(4)switch voltage (Vsw):-0.5V to 120V;(5)frequency control voltage:-0.5V to (VDD+0.3V);(6)storage temperature (Ts):-65°C to +150°C;(7)ESD rating:1.5kV.
