The PC452 is a kind of compact surface mount photocoupler. The typical applications include telephone sets, copiers, facsimiles, interfaces with various power supply circuits, power distribution boards and hybrid substrates which reguire high density mounting
There are some features as follows: (1) high collector-emitter voltage (VCEO: 300 V); (2) high current transfer ratio (CTR: MIN. 1000% at IF=1 mA, VCE=2 V); (3) mini-flat package; (4) high isolation voltage between input and output (Viso: 3750 Vrms).
What comes next is about the specifications. First is about the input part: (1): IF (forward current) is 50 mA; (2): VR (reverse voltage) is 6 V; (3): P (power dissipation) is 70 mW. Then is about the output part: (4): VCEO (collector-emitter voltage) is 300 V; (5): VECO (emitter-collector voltage) is 0.1 V; (6): IC (collector current (forward direction)) is 150 mA; (7): PC (collector power dissipation) is 150 mW; (8): Ptot (total power dissipation) is 170 mW; (9): Viso (isolation voltage) is 3750 Vrms; (10): Topr (operating temperature) is from -30 to +100; (11): Tstg (storage temperature) is from -40 to +125; (12): Tsol (soldering temperature) is 260.
