SL561B General Description
The SL561B is a kind of ultra low noise preamplifier. It is designed for use in audio and video systems at frequencies up to 6 MHz. Noise performance is optimized for source impedances between 20 and 1 k making the device suitable for use with a number of transducers including photo-conductive IR detectors, magnetic tape heads and dynamic microphones. It is available in the TO-5 package. The typical applications include audio preampliers (low noise from low impedance source), video preamplifier and preamplifier for use in low cost infra-red systems.
There are some features as follows: (1)high gain: 60 dB; (2)low noise: 0.8 nV/Hz (Rs=50); (3)bandwidth: 6 MHz; (4)low power consumption: 10 mW (VCC=5 V).
The following is about the electrical characteristics at VCC=5 V, source impedance=50, load impedance=10 k and Tamb=25: (1)voltage gain: 57 dB min, 60 dB typ and 63 dB max at Pin 1 O/C; (2)equivalent input noise voltage: 0.8 nV/Hz typ and 1.2 nV/Hz max at 100 Hz to 6 MHz; (3)output voltage: 2 V p-p min and 3 V p-p max; (4)supply current: 2.0 mA typ and 3.0 mA max; (5)output resistance: 50 typ; (6)input resistance: 3 k typ; (7)input capacitance: 15 pF typ.
