The TLP1204 is designed as a photointerrupter which has a a connector with a GaAs infrared LED and a highly sensitivity and low current comsumption silicon photo IC.
It has seven features. (1)One side mounting type. (2)Supply voltage is 5V. (3)Digital output (with a pull-up resistor). (4)Gap 3mm. (5)Resolution slit width 0.5mm. (6)Low current consumption which would be max 17.5mA. (7)Material of the case polycarbonate. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 6V. (2)Its output voltage would be Vcc+0.5V. (3)Its low level output current would be 50mA. (4)Its low level output current derating would be -0.67mW/°C. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -25°C to 75°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min 4.5V and typ 5.0V and max 5.5V. (2)Its supply current would be max 17.5mA. (3)Its output voltage would be min 0.9Vcc for high level and would be typ 0.07V and max 0.35V for low level. (4)Its peak emission wavelength would be typ 940nm for LED side. (5)Its peak sensitivity wavelength would be typ 900nm for photo IC side. (6)Its response frequency would be min 3000Hz. (7)Its rise time would be typ 2us. (8)Its fall time would be typ 0.03us.
