TPA6021 General Description

The TPA6021 is designed as one kind of stereo audio power amplifier that drives 2 W/channel of continuous RMS power into a 4-W load when utilizing a heat sink.Advanced dc volume control minimizes external components and allows BTL (speaker) volume control and SE(headphone) volume control.To ensure a smooth transition between active and shutdown modes,a fade mode ramps the volume up and down.

Features of the TPA6021 are:(1)2 W into 4-W speakers with external heatsink;(2)DC volume control with 2-dB steps from -40 dB to 20 dB:fade mode and -85-dB mute mode;(3)differential inputs;(4)1-A shutdown current (typical);(5)headphone mode.Also it can be used in LCD monitors.And the absolute maximum ratings can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage:-0.3 V to 6 V;(2)input voltage:-0.3 V to VDD+0.3 V;(3)continuous total power dissipation:see dissipation rating table;(4)operating free-air temperature range:-40°C to 85°C;(5)operating junction temperature range:-40°C to 150°C;(6)storage temperature range:-65°C to 85°C;(7)lead temperature 1,6 mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds:260°C.If you want to know more information such as the electrical characteristics about the TPA6021,please download the datasheet in www.seekic.com .
