The TSOP7000 is designed as a miniaturized receiver for infrared remote control and IR data transmission. PIN diode and preamplifier are assembled on lead frame, the epoxy package is designed as IR filter. The demodulated output signal can directly be decoded by a microprocessor. The main benefit is the operation with high data rates and long distances.
It has eleven features. (1) Photo detector and preamplifier in one package. (2) Internal bandfilter for PCM frequency. (3) Internal shielding against electrical field disturbance. (4) TTL and CMOS compatibility. (5) Output active low. (6) Data rate 20kbit/s. (7) Small size package. (8) Supply voltage 2.7 to 5.5V. (9) Short setting time after power on. (10) High envelope duty cycle can be received. (11) Enhanced immunity against disturbance from energy saving lamps. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 6.0V. (2) Its voltage at output to supply would be -0.3V to Vs+0.3V. (3) Its supply current would be 5mA. (4) Its output voltage would be from -0.3V to 6.0V. (5) Its output current would be 15mA. (6) Its junction temperature would be 100°C. (7) Its storage temperature range would be from -25°C to +85°C. (8) Its operating temperature range would be from -25°C to +85°C. (9) Its soldering temperature would be 260°C. (10) Its power consumption would be 30mW.
Also some basic characteristics about it. (1) Its supply current pin 3 would be typ 2.0mA and max 2.7mA. (2) Its supply voltage pin 3 would be min 2.7V and typ 5V and max 5.5V. (3) Its threshold irradiance would be typ 0.8mW/m2 and max 1.5mW/m2. (4) Its maximum irradiance would be min 30W/m2. (5) Its output voltage low pin 1 would be max 100mV. (6) Its output voltage high pin 1 would be min Vs-0.25V. (7) Its bandpassfilter quality would be typ 10. (8) Its out-pulse width tolerance would be min -15us and typ +5us and max +15us.
