These high speed unity gain buffers slew at 800 V/uS and have a small signal bandwidth of 50MHz while driving a 50 Ohm load. They can drive +300mA peak and do not oscillate while driving large capacitive loads. The LM6121 is a monolithic IC which offers performance similar to the LH0002 with additional features of current limit and thermal shutdown. This buffer is built with National's VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process which provides fast PNP transistors that are true complements to the already fast NPN devices.
This advanced junction-isolated process delivers high speed performance without the need for complex and expensive dielectric isolation.

For guaranteed specifications and test conditions, see the Electrical Characteristics. The guaranteed specifications apply only for the test conditions listed. Some performance characteristics may degrade when the device is not operated under the listed test conditions.
Note 2: The maximum power dissipation must be derated at elevated temperatures and is dictated by Tjmax (maximum junction temperature), ThetaJA (package junction to ambient thermal resistance), and TA (ambient temperature). The maximum allowable power dissipation at any temperature is Pdmax = (Tjmax - TA)/ThetaJA or the number given in the Absolute Maximum Ratings, whichever is lower.
Note 3: During current limit or thermal limit, the input current will increase if the input to output differential voltage exceeds 8V. For input to output differential voltages in excess of 8V the input current should be limited to +20mA.
Note 4: The LM6121 buffer contains current limit and thermal shutdown to protect against fault conditions.
Note 5: Human body model, 1.5K Ohms in series with 100pF.

6425 General Description
The LM6125 high speed unity gain buffer slews at 800 V/uS and has a small signal bandwidth of 50 MHz while driving a 50 Ohm load. This buffer drives +300 mA peak and does not oscillate while driving large capacitive loads. The LM6125 contains unique features not found in power buffers; these include current limit, thermal shutdown, electronic shutdown, and an error flag that warns of fault conditions.
This buffer is built with Nationsl's VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process which provides fast PNP transistors that are true complements to the already fast NPN devices.
This advance junction-isolated process delivers high speed performance without the need for complex and expensive dielectric isolation.
