The AT65-0413TR is designed as a GaAs FET 4-bit digital attenuator with a 1.0 dB minimum step size and a 15 dB total attenuation range. This device is in a SOIC-16 plastic surface mount package. It is ideally suited for use where accuracy, fast speed, very low power consumption and low costs are required. Typical applications include dynamic range setting in precision receiver circuits and other gain/leveling control circuits.
It has five features. (1) Attenuation would be 1.0 dB steps to 15dB. (2) Low DC power consumption. (3) Integral TTL driver. (4) 50 ohms impedance. (5) Temperature stability would be ±0.18 dB from -55°C to +85°C typ. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum input power would be +27dBm for 0.05GHz and would be +34dBm for 0.5GHz to 3.0GHz. (2) Its +Vcc would be +5.5V. (3) Its -Vee would be -8.5V. (4) Its control voltage would be from -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V. (5) Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (6) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical specifications about it. (1) Its insertion loss would be typ 1.3dB and max 1.6dB for DC 0.5GHz and would be typ 1.7dB and max 2.1dB for DC 2.0GHz and would be typ 1.9dB and max 2.4dB for DC 3.0GHz. (2) Its attenuation accurarcy would be ± (.25 + 3% of attenuation) or ± .55 dB. (3) Its VSWR would be max 1.6:1. (4) Its 1 dB compression would be max +20dBm for 0.05GHz and would be max +28dBm for 0.5GHz to 3.0GHz. And so on.
