The CD4059AE belongs to the CD4059A series. It is a kind of CMOS programmmable divide-by-'N' counter that can be programmed to divide an input frequency by any number 'N' from 3 to 15,999. It can be used in many occasions such as communications digital frequency,fixed or programmable frequency division,'Time Out' timer for consumer-application industrial controls and companion application note ICAN-6374.

(1) synchronous programmable; (2) presettable down-counter; (3) fully static operation; (4) mode-select control of initial decade counting function; (5) master preset initialization; (6) 1 volt noise margin,full package temperature range; (7) 5 V to 10 V parametric ratings.
