HMC-C018 General Description

The HMC-C018 is a DC to 13 GHz 6-bit GaAs IC Digital Serial Control Attenuator housed in a miniature hermetic module. This wideband attenuator features 3.6 dB typical insertion loss, +38 dBm input IP3, and bit values of 0.5 (LSB), 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 dB for a total attenuation of 31.5 dB. Attenuation accuracy is excellent with ±0.3 dB typical step error. A six bit CMOS compatible serial control word is used to select each attenuation state and a single VDC bias of -5V allows operation at frequencies down to DC. Removable SMA connectors can be detached to allow direct connection of the module's I/O pins to a microstrip or coplanar circuit.

HMC-C019 General Description

The HMC-C019 is a high speed, high isolation GaAs MESFET SPST switch housed in a miniature hermetic module with fi eld replaceable SMA connectors.

Covering DC to 20 GHz, the switch features 100 dB isolation up to 4 GHz and 65 dB isolation up to 20 GHz. CMOS interface allows a positive +5V bias voltage at very low DC currents. This non-refl ective switch exhibits very fast switching speeds, with very low switching transients making it ideal for high speed RF pulse modulation applications.

HMC-C020 General Description

The HMC-C020 is a GaAs MMIC PHEMT Power Amplifi er in a miniature, hermetic module with replaceable 2.92mm connectors which operates between 17 and 24 GHz. The amplifi er provides 22 dB of gain, 3.5 dB noise fi gure, +33 dBm output IP3 and up to +24 dBm of output power at 1 dB gain compression. The wideband amplifi er I/Os are internally matched to 50 Ohms and are DC blocked making the HMC-C020 ideal for EW, ECM RADAR and test equipment applications. Integrated voltage regulators allow for fl exible biasing of both the negative and positive supply pins, while internal bias sequencing circuitry assures robust operation.
