The MAX3232 device consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit with ±15-kV ESD protection pin to pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND).The MAX3232CDB belongs to MAX3232 family.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MAX3232CDB can be summarized as:(1):the supply voltage range, VCC is 0.3 V to 6 V;(2):the positive output supply voltage range, V+ is 0.3 V to 7 V;(3):the negative output supply voltage range, V is 0.3 V to 7 V;(4):the supply voltage difference, V+ V is 13 V;(5):the input voltage range, VI: drivers is 0.3 V to 6 V;(6):the input voltage range, VI: receivers is 25 V to 25 V;(7):the output voltage range, VO: drivers is 13.2 V to 13.2 V;(8):the the output voltage range, VO: receivers is 0.3 V to VCC + 0.3 V;(9):the lead temperature 1,6 mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds is 260;(10):the storage temperature range, Tstg is 65 to 150.
