PC825 is a type of mounting photocoupler which has four unique features: the first one is high current transfer ratio.The second one is high isolation Voltage between input and output. The third one is compact dual-in-line package.The last one is it is recognized by UL,file NO.E64380.Besides, it also has four applications: the first one is industrial robots. The second one is copiers,automatic vending machines. The third one is system applicances,measuring instruments.The forth one is signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances.
There are someabsolute maximum ratings about it. Input: forwad current(IF) is 50 mA. Peak forward current(IFM) is 1 A.Power dissipation(P) is 70 mW.Reverse voltage(VR) is 6 V.Output: Collector-emitter voltage(VCEO) is 35 V. Emitter-collector voltage(VECO) is 6 V. Collector current(Ic) is 80 mA. Collector power dissipation(Pc) is 150 mW. Total power dissipation(Ptot) is 200 MW. Isolation voltage(Viso) is 5000 Vrms. Operating temperature(Topr) is -30 to +100. Storage temperature(Tstg) is -55 to +125. Soldering temperature(Tsol) is 260.Electro-optical characteristics: Input: Forward votlage(VF) is 1.2 V typ and 1.4 V max when IF is 20 mA. Peak forward voltage(VFM) is 3.0 V max when IFM is 0.5 A.Terminal capcitance(Ct) is 50 pF typ and 250 PF max when V is 0 and f is 1 kHz. Transfer charactersitics:Current transfer ratio(CTR) is 600% min ,1600% typ and 1500% max when IF is 1 mA and VCE is 2 V.Collector-emitter saturation voltage(VCE(sat)) is 0.8 V typ and 1.0 V max when IF is 20 mA and Ic is 5 mA. Floating capacitance is 0.6 pFtyp and 1.0 pF max when V is 0 and f is 1 kHz.Cut-off frequency (fc) is 1 KHz min and 6 KHz typ when Vce is 5 V , Ic is 2 mA, RL is 100 ohm.
