The QT240-ISSG is designed as 4 key QTouch sensor IC with typical applications of instrument panels, gaming machines, access systems, pointing devices, appliance controls, security systems, PC Peripherals and backlighted buttons.It allows electrodes to project independent sense fields through any dielectric like glass, plastic, stone, ceramic, and wood.It can also turn metal-bearing objects into intrinsic sensors, making them responsive to proximity or touch.This capability coupled with its continuous self-calibration feature can lead to entirely new product concepts , adding high value to product designs.
It has many features.The first one is that it would have four independent charge-transfer ('QT') touch keys.The second one is about its individual outputs per channel which would be active high.The third one is projects prox fields through any dielectric.The fourth one is sensitivity easily adjusted on a per-channel basis.The fifth one is that it would be 100% autocal for life - no adjustments required.The sixth one is 3.9V to 5.5V single supply operation.The seventh one is 10s, 60s, infinite autorecal timeout (strap options).The eighth one is sync pin for line sync to suppress noise.The ninth one is spread spectrum operation.The tenth one is pin options for auto recalibration timings.The next one is extremely low cost per key.The last one is that it would be 20-SSOP RoHS compliant packaged.That are all the features.
Some absolute maximum specifications have been concluded into several points as follow.The first one is about its operating temperature which would be as designed by suffix.The second one is about its storage temperature which would be from -55°C to +105°C.The third one is about its Vdd which would be from -0.3 to +5.5V.The fourth one is about its max continuous pin current, any control or drive pin which would be ±20mA.The fifth one is about its short circuit duration to ground, any pin which would be infinite.The sixth one is about its short circuit duration to Vdd, any pin which would be infinite.The seventh one is about its voltage forced onto any pin which would be from -0.3V to (Vdd + 0.3) Volts.
