The 40EPS16PbF rectifier SAFEIR series is designed to be optimized for very low forward voltage drop,with moderate leakage.It would be reliable for operation up to 150° C junction temperature with the help of glass passivation technology.Its typical applications are in input rectification and these products are designed to be used with international rectifier switches and output rectifiers which are available in identical package outlines.
Some important absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow.The first one is about its max. average forward current which would be 40 A with the condition of TC = 105° C, 180° conduction half sine wave.The second one is about its max. peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current which would be 400A with the condition of 10ms Sine pulse, rated VRRM applied and would be 475A with condition of 10ms Sine pulse, no voltage reapplied.The third one is about its max. I2t for fusing which would be 800 A2s with condition of 10ms Sine pulse, rated Vrrm applied and would be 1131 A2s with condition of 10ms sine pulse, no voltage reapplied.The fourth one is about its Max. I2t for fusing which would be 11310 A2s with condition of t = 0.1 to 10ms, no voltage reapplied.The fifth one is about its max. forward voltage drop which would be 1.14 V with the condition of @ 40A, Tj=25°C.The last one is about its threshold voltage which would be 0.72 V with condition of Tj=150°C.
Also some important major ratings and characteristics about it.The first one is about sinusoidal waveform which would be 40 A.The second one is about its Vrrm which would be 1600V.The third one is about its Ifsm which would be 475 A.The fourth one is about its Vf @ 20A, Tj= 25°C which would be 1.0.The last one is about its Tj which would be from -40 to +150°C.That are all the major ratings.
