The QCK5 is a slotted optical switch designed for surface mount applicationswhere very high temperatures are experienced during solder reflow. It consistsof a GaAs LED and a silicon phototransistor, packaged into a metal housing andfacing each other across a .157" (4.0 mm) gap. The leads are formed to sitflush on a PCB during solder reflow.
