The ZL50234/QC is designed as 8 channel voice echo canceller with typical applications include voice over IP network gateways, voice over ATM, frame relay, T1/E1/J1 multichannel echo cancellation, wireless base stations, echo canceller pools and DCME, satellite and multiplexer system.
It has many features and some are listed here. (1) Independent multiple channels of echo cancellation; from 8 channels of 64ms to 4 channels of 128ms with the ability to mix channels at 128ms or 64ms in any combination. (2) Independent power down mode for each group of 2 channels for power management. (3) Fully compliant to ITU-T G.165, G.168 (2000) and (2002) specifications. (4) Passed AT&T voice quality testing for carrier grade echo cancellers. (5) Compatible to ST-BUS and GCI interfaces with 2Mb/s serial PCM data. (6) PCM coding, /A-Law ITU-T G.711 or sign magnitude. (7) Per channel Fax/Modem G.164 2100Hz or G.165. (8) 100Hz phase reversal tone disable. (9) Per channel echo canceller parameters control. (10) Transparent data transfer and mute. (11) Fast reconvergence on echo path changes. (12) Fully programmable convergence speeds. (13) Patented advanced non-linear processor with high quality subjective performance. (14) Protection against narrow band signal divergence and instability in high echo environments. And so on.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its I/O supply voltage would be min -0.5V and max 5.0V. (2) Its core supply voltage would be min -0.5V and max 2.5V. (3) Its input voltage would be min Vss-0.5V and max Vdd1+0.5V. (4) Its input voltage on any 5V tolerant I/O pins would be min Vss-0.5V and max Vdd1+0.5V. (5) Its continuous current at digital outputs would be max 20mA. (6) Its package power dissipation would be max 2W. (7) Its storage temperature range would be min -55°C and max 150°C. It should be noted that exceeding these values may cause permanent damage.
