The 3600 series is designed ideally to suit to the needs of instrumentation,data acquisition, and process control.You could select the appropriate relay for your particular application in the specification tables.And it is recommended for the user to use them in scanners, multiplexers and digital or analog multipoint recorders. The 3600 series have many features as follow.The first one is about its low thermal EMF: < 5 V through < 0.5 V with 50 nV stability.The second one is patented low thermal design. U.S. Patent #4,084,142.The third one is its low power coils to ensure low thermal EMF.The fourth one is its high insulation resistance which would be 1012 .The fifth one is control/signal isolation of 1500 VDC.The seventh one is its high speed switching compared to electromechanical relays.The eighth one is its high reliability, hermetically sealed contacts.The ninth one is about its various form A contacts and high dielectric strength.The tenth one is epoxy coated steel shell provides magnetic shielding.The eleventh one is electrostatic shield for reducing capacitive coupling.
The series has some important environmental ratings.The first one is storage Temp which should be -35°C to +100°C.The second one is operating temp which would be -20°C to +85°C.The third one is solder temp: 270°C max; 10 sec. max.The fourth one is the operate and release voltage and the coil resistance are specified at 25°C..The fifth one is these values vary by approximately 0.4% / °C as the ambient temperature varies.The last one is about its vibration would be 20 G's to 2000 Hz and its shock which would be 50 G's.
Some notes about it.The first one is consult factory for life expectancy at other switching loads.The second one is model 3660: Reed switch between pins #9 & #10 is not low thermal and is tied in common with the electrostatic shield.The third one is consists of 56V Zener diode and 1N4148 diode in series,connected in parallel with coil.The fourth one is model 3650: Reed switch between pins #3 & #4 is not low thermal and is not tied in common with the electrostatic shield.Pin numbers for reference only.
