Description

      The series 4000 standard has its own features like other pins. Here show some features to you, please remember them rightly. The first feature is enclosure, which is SLIMLINE - 3" x 3" x 11/2" space-saver. NEMA 12/13 or NEMA 4 type sealing - flush or flanged base styles. The second feature is inherently anti-jitter circuitry, shatterproof metal code discs. The third is internally and externally shielded ABEC 5 stainless steel bearings and mounted internally. The fourth feature is low supply current requirement, which is 30milliamps typical per encoder and maximum of 50 mA. The fifth is operating voltage flexibility which range from 8 to 28 Vdc or 5 Vdc.TTL output, 5V or 8-15V with line driver. The sixth is operating temperature rating designed for extremes, which range from -400to +850 C (-400to +1850 F).
      The series 4000 also has some electrical specifications, which you should also know. The first is pulse rate, which is 10 kHz, up to 200 kHz. The second is outputs, which is NPN w/ pullup, NPN open collector and PNP sourcing. Here you should also know that the condition is that the line drivers is 5 Vdc/ TTL level and 8 to 15 Vdc. All line drivers have complementary outputs. The third is output ratings, there are three numbers about output ratings that you need to remember clearly. The open collector transistor is 40 Vdc maximum, the line Drivers 8-15 Vdc is 15 Vdc maximum, the 5 Vdc TTL is 5.5 Vdc maximum. The next electrical specification is supply voltage 8 to 28 Vdc. The fifth is supply current, which is 30 mA typical and 50 mA maximum. The sixth is current sinking , which is 250 mA maximum. The seventh is output duty cycle, which is 50/50 w/ +20% typical tolerance. The eighth is plsed outputs which is 5-10 sec or 25-35 sec. The last electrical specification is rise/fall times, which is 1 sec typical, other options available.
