The current loop checker 412440 is a handheld battery operated device that provides a quick and easy simulated output of 4mA, 12mA and 20mA for use in testing and calibrating instruments. Also, 412440 is the ideal device to set up indicating ranges on panel meters and controllers.
The model 412440 has three highlights : The first one is three check points(4,12,20 mA); The second one is push-button range selection for one hand operation; The third one is bright red LEDs ibdicates simulation point, low battery power and overload(over 240 ohms). Accuracy is ±0.1mA; Check Points are 4mA, 12mA and 20mA; Overload of 412440 is 240 ohms @ 20mA, 400 ohms @ 12mA and 1,200 ohms @ 4mA.
How to operate 412440 ? Plug the 60" coiled calibration cable into the checker and connect the spade lugs to the device under test. Using the calibrator's push button, select the desired calibration point and check the device under test for proper display or other desired response. If the 412440 under test responds within specification, then it can be considered in proper calibration. If the device under test does not respond within specification, calibration is required.
