      The 42-21 SMD taping is designed to be much smaller than lead frame type components.That make it to enable smaller board size, higher packing density, reduced storage space and finally smaller equipment to be obtained.Also it makes them ideal for miniature applications with the help of lightweight.

      42-21 has six features.The first one is that it would be packaged in 12mm tape on 7diameter reel.The second one is that it would be compatible with automatic placement equipment.The third one is that 42-21 would also be compatible with infrared and vapor phase reflow solder process.The fourth one is that it would have mulit-color type.The fifth one is that it would be Pb-free.The last one is that this product itself will remain within RoHS compliant version.Also 42-21 has four applications.The first one is that it would be automotive which would be backlighting in dashboard and switch.The second one is about its telecommunication which could be used as indicator and backlighting in telephone and fax.The third one is that 42-21 could also be used in flat backlight for LCD, switch and symbol.The last one is that it could be general used.
      Some absolute maximum ratings (Ta=25) of 42-21 about it have been concluded into several points.The first one is about its reverse voltage which would be 5V.The second one is about its forward current which would be 25 mA.The third one is about its operating temperature which would be from -40 to +85°C.The fourth one is about its storage temperature which would be from -40 to +90°C.The fifth one is about the soldering temperature of 42-21 which would be 260 (for 5 second)°C.The sixth one is about its electrostatic discharge (HBM) which would be 2000V.The seventh one is about its power dissipation which would be 60 mW.The eighth one is about its peak forward current(Duty 1/10 @1KHz) which would be 60 mA.The last one is still about the  soldering temperature of 42-21 which would be 260°C for 10 sec of reflow soldering and 350 °C for 3 sec of hand soldering.
