The 54ACT16540 is designed as 16-bit buffer/ bus driver which provides a high-performance bus interface for wide data paths.

54ACT16540 has ten features. (1)Members of the texas instruments widebusE family. (2)Inputs are TTL-voltage compatible. (3)Provide extra data width necessary for wider address/ data paths. (4)Provide inverted data. (5)3-state outputs drive bus lines or buffer memory address registers. (6)Flow-through architecture optimizes PCB layout. (7)Distributed Vcc and GND pin configuration minimizes high-speed switching noise. (8)EPIC (enhanced-performance implanted CMOS) 1mm process. (9)500mA typical latch-up immunity at 125°C. (10)Package options include shrink small-outline 300mil (DL) package using 25mil center-to-center pin spacings and 380-mil fine-pitch ceramic flat (WD) packages using 25mil center-to-center pin spacings.
