The 74HC373D is one member of the 74HC373 series.The 74HC373 is high-speed si-gate CMOS device.It is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.The 74HC373 is octal D-type transparent latche featuring separate D-type inputs for each latch and 3-state outputs for bus oriented applications.
Features of the 74HC373 are:(1)3-state non-inverting outputs for bus oriented applications;(2)common 3-state output enable input;(3)functionally identical to the "563", "573" and "533";(4)output capability: bus driver.74HC373 is fabricated with high-speed silicon gate CMOS technology. It has the high noise immunity and low power consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits.The eight latches in 74HC373 devices are transparent D-type latches. While the latch-enable (LE) input is high, the Q outputs follow the data (D) inputs. When LE is low, the Q outputs are latched at the levels that were set up at the D inputs.
The absolute maximum ratings of the 74HC373 can be summarized as:(1)DC supply voltage (Vcc) :- 0.5 ~ + 7.0 V ;(2)DC input or output Voltage (VIN, VOUT) : -0.5 to Vcc +0.5V;(3)DC Current per pin, Vcc or GND (Icc):±70 mA.These 8-bit latches with 3-state outputs are designed specifically for driving highly capacitive or relatively low-impedance loads. They are particularly suitable for implementing buffer registers, I/O ports, bi-directional bus drivers, and working registers.The products described in this document are designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for general use, including without limitation, ordinary industrial use, general office use, personal use, and household use, but are not designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated (1) for any use that includes fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely high safety is secured, could have a serious effect to the public, and could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other loss (i.e., nuclear reaction control in nuclear facility, aircraft flight control, air traffic control, mass transport control, medical life support system, missile launch control in weapon system), or (2) for any use where chance of failure is intolerable (i.e., submersible repeater and artificial satellite).
