The 74LVC244A is a high-performance, low-power,low-voltage, Si-gate CMOS device, which is superior to most advanced CMOS compatible TTL families. Inputs can be driven from either 3.3 V or 5 V devices. In 3-State operation, outputs can handle 5 V. These features make the usage of these devices as translators in a mixed 3.3V/5V environment possible.It is an octal non-inverting buffer/line driver with 3-State outputs which are controlled by the output enable inputs 1OE and 2OE. A HIGH on nOE causes the outputs to assume a high impedance OFF-state. Schmitt-trigger action at all inputs makes the circuit highly tolerant for slower input rise and fall times.
It also has some unique features as below:(1)5-volt tolerant inputs/outputs, for interfacing with 5-volt logic;(2)supply voltage range of 2.7V to 3.6V;(3)complies with JEDEC standard no. 8-1A;(4)CMOS low power consumption;(5)direct interface with TTL levels;(6)high impedance when VCC is 0V;(7)bushold on all data inputs (74LVCH244A only)
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as below(in accordance with the absolute maximum rating system, voltages are referenced to GND):(1).DC supply voltage is 0.5V to +6.5 V;(2). DC input diode current is 50 mA when VI is greater than 0;(3). DC input voltage is 0.5 V to +6.5 V(The input and output voltage ratings may be exceeded if the input and output current ratings are observed);(4). DC output diode current is ±50 mA when VO is greater than VCC or VO is less than 0;(5).DC output voltage and output HIGH or LOW state are 0.5 V to VCC +0.5 V; DC output voltage; output 3-State is 0.5 V to 6.5 V;(6). DC output source or sink current is ± 50 mA when VO is 0 to VCC;(7). DC VCC or GND current is ± 100 mA, (8).Storage temperature range is -65 to +150 .etc.
