84C300A has many features. The first one is it would have low power CMOS technology. The second one is 4-port ethernet controller optimized for switching hub, multiport bridge/router, server applications. The third one is supports 100baseT4, 100baseTX, 100baseFX & 10baseT transceivers. The fourth one is it meets ANSI/IEEE 802.3 and ISO 8802-3 standards for thicknet (10base-5), thin net (10base-2) and twisted pair (10base-T). The fifth one is standard 10MBit/sec serial mode or programmable MII ethernet interface for 10/100MBit/sec applications. The sixth one is preamble generation and removal.
