The Microchip technology Inc.93C06/46 family of serial electrically erasbale PROMs are configured in a x 16 organization.Advanced CMOS technology makes these devices ideal for low-power non-volatile memory applications. It is available in the standard 8-pin DIP and surface mount SOIC packages.The 93C46X comes as SOIC only.These devices offer fast(1 ms) byte write and extended temperature operaiton. It is recommended that all other applications use Microchip;s 93LC46.

It has many unique features: The first one is low power CMOS technology. The second one is single 5 volt only operation. The third one is self-timed ERASE and WRITE cycles. The forth one is automatic ERASE before WRITE. The fifth one is data retention is longer than 40 years. The sixth one is 2 ms program cycle time,etc. There are some specifications about it. DC characteristics: Vcc detector threshold(VTH) is 2.8 V min and 4.5 V max. High level input voltage(VIH) is 2.0 V min and Vcc+1 V max . Low level input voltage(VIL) is -0.3 V min and 0.8 V max, High level output voltage(VOH) is 2.4 V min. Low level output voltage(VOL) is 0.4 V max when IOL is 3.2 mA. Stadnby current(ICCS) is 100 UA max when CS is 0 V and Vcc is 5.5 V .
