AD603AR

The AD603AR is one member of the AD603 family which designed as the low noise, voltage-controlled amplifier for use in RF and IF AGC systems. It can be used in (1)RF/IF AGC amplifier; (2)video gain control; (3)A/D range extension; (4)signal measurement. This device can be connected in series to achieve higher gain, for example:two AD603ARs, the total gain-control range becomes 84 dB (two times 42.14 dB); the overall-3 dB bandwidth of cascaded stages will be somewhat reduced.

Features of the AD603AR are:(1)MIL-STD-883 compliant and DESC versions available; (2)60.5 dB typical gain accuracy; (3)bandwidth independent of variable gain; (4)any intermediate range, e.g., 1 dB to +41 dB with 30 MHz bandwidth; (5)"linear in dB" gain control; (6)pin programmable gain ranges:11 dB to +31 dB with 90 MHz bandwidth and +9 dB to +51 dB with 9 MHz bandwidth.

The absolute maximum ratings of the AD603AR can be summarized as:(1)supply voltage ±Vs:±7.5 V;(2)internal voltage VINP (pin 3):±2 V continuous;(3)internal power dissipation:400 mW;(4)operating temperature range:-40°C to +85°C;(5)storage temperature range:-65°C to +150°C;(6)lead temperature range (soldering 60 sec):+300°C.
