AD633JN

The AD633JN is designed as a functionally complete, four-quadrant, analog multiplier. It includes high impedance, differential X and Y inputs and a high impedance summing input (Z). The low impedance output voltage is a nominal 10 V full scale provided by a buried zener. The AD633 is the first product to offer these features in modestly priced 8-lead plastic DIP and SOIC packages.

It has eight features. (1) Four-quadrant multiplication. (2) Low cost 8-lead package. (3) Complete no external components required. (4) Laser trimmed accuracy and stability. (5) Total error within 2% of FS. (6) Differential high impedance X and Y inputs. (7) High impedance unity-gain summing input. (8) Laser-trimmed 10V scaling reference. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its supply voltage would be ±18V. (2) Its internal power dissipation would be 500mW. (3) Its input voltage would be ±18V. (4) Its output short circuit duration would be indefinite. (5) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (6) Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (7) Its lead temperature range (soldering 60 sec) would be +300°C. (8) Its ESD rating would be 1000V.

Also some characteristics about it. (1) Its total error would be typ ±1 and max ±2 % full scale. (2) Its scale voltage error would be typ ±0.25%. (3) Its supply rejection would be typ ±0.01 % full scale. (4) Its nonlinearity X would be typ ±0.4 and max ±1 % full scale. (5) Its nonlinearity Y would be typ ±0.1 and max ±0.4 % full scale. (6) Its X feedthrough would be typ ±0.3 and max ±1. (7) Its Y feedthrough would be typ ±0.1 and max ±0.4. (8) Its output offset voltage would be typ ±5 and max ±50mV. (9) Its small signal BW would be typ 1MHz. (10) Its slew rate would be typ 20V/us. (11) Its settling time to 1% would be 2us. (12) Its output voltage swing would be min ±11V. And so on.
