Description

The AD831AP is designed as a low distortion, wide dynamic range, monolithic mixer for use in such applications as RF to IF down conversion in HF and VHF receivers, the second mixer in DMR base stations, direct-to-baseband conversion, quadrature modulation and demodulation, and doppler-shift detection in ultrasound imaging applications.

AD831AP has seven features. (1)Doubly-balanced mixer. (2)Low distortion. (3)Low LO drive required: -10dBm. (4)Bandwidth would means 500MHz RF and LO input bandwidths and 250MHz differential current IF output and DC to >200 MHz single-ended voltage IF output. (5)Single or dual supply operation. (6)DC coupled using dual supplies. (7)User-programmable power consumption. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of AD831AP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage +/-Vs would be +/-5.5V. (2)Its input voltages would be +/-3V for RFHI, RFLO and would be +/-1V for LOHI, LOLO. (3)Its internal power dissipation would be 1200mW. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (5)Its storage temperature range woud be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its lead temperature range (soldering 60sec) would be +300°C.
