The ADS7806P is a low-power 12-bit sampling analogto-digital using state-of-the-art CMOS structures. It contains a complete 12-bit, capacitor-based, SAR A/D with S/H, clock, reference, and microprocessor interface with parallel and serial output drivers.
ADS7806P has eleven features. (1)35mW power dissipation. (2)50uW power down mode. (3)25us max acquisition and conversion. (4)+/-1/2LSB max INL and DNL. (5)72dB min SINAD with 1kHz input. (6)+/-10V, 0V to +5V and 0V to +4V input ranges. (7)Single +5V supply operation. (8)Parallel and serial data output. (9)Pin-compatible with 16-bit ADS7807. (10)Its Uses internal OR external reference. (11)28-pin 0.3'' plastic DIP and SOIC. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ADS7806P have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its ground voltage differences: DGND, AGND1 and AGND2 would be +/-0.3V. (2)Its Vana would be 7V. (3)Its Vdig to Vana would be +0.3V. (4)Its digital inputs would be from -0.3V to Vdig+0.3V. (5)Its internal power dissipation would be 825mW. (6)Its maximum junction temperature would be +165°C. (7)Its lead temperature soldering 10s would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
