DescriptionThe ADS7822U is one member of the ADS7822 family which designed as the 12-bit sampling analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with ensured specifications over a 2.7V to 5.25V supply range. It can be used in (1)battery-operated systems; (2)remote data acquisition; (3)isolated data acquisition; (4)simultaneous sampling, multi-channel systems. It also features operation from 2.0V to 5V, a synchronous serial interface, and a pseudo-differential input.
Features of the ADS7822U are:(1)75kHz sampling rate;(2)power down:3A max;(3)MINI-DIP-8, SOIC-8, and MSOP-8;(4)pseudo-differential input;(5)serial interface. The absolute maximum ratings of the ADS7822U can be summarized as:(1)Vcc:+6 V;(2)analog input:-0.3V to (Vcc+0.3 V);(3)logic input:-0.3V to 6V;(4)case temperature:+100°C;(5)junction temperature:+125°C;(6)external reference voltage:+5.5 V.
The digital inputs of the ADS7822U can accommodate logic levels up to 6V regardless of the value of VCC. Thus, the product can be powered at 3V and still accept inputs from logic powered at 5V.
