ADS7835E

The ADS7835E is designed as a 12-bit, sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) complete with sample-and-hold (S/H), internal 2.5V reference, and synchronous serial interface. Typical power dissipation is 17.5mW at a 500kHz throughput rate.

It has eight features. (1)500kHz throughput rate. (2)2.5 internal reference. (3)Low power 17.5mW. (4)Single supply +5V operation. (5)Serial interface. (6)Guaranteed no missing codes. (7)8-lead MSOP. (8)+/-Vref input range. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its +Vcc to GND would be from -0.3V to +6V. (2)Its analog inputs to GND would be from -5.3V to 5.3V. (3)Its digital inputs to GND would be from -0.3V to Vcc+0.3V. (4)Its power dissipation would be 325mW. (5)Its maximum junction temperature would be 150°C. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature (soldering 10s) would be +300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its resolution would be typ 12bits. (2)Its input voltage range would be min -Vref and max +Vref. (3)Its input capacitance would be typ 25pF. (4)Its input resistance would be typ 2kohms. (5)Its no mcodes would be min 12bits. (6)Its logic input voltage high would be min 3.0V and max Vcc+0.3V. (7)Its input voltage low would be min -0.3V and max -0.8V. (8)Its output voltage high would be min 3.5V. (9)Its output voltage low would be max 0.4V. (10)Its Vcc would be min 4.75V and max 5.25V.
