Description

     AMI8583 is a calendar clock chip with I2C bus interface, there's a 256 bytes static RAM in it. AMI8583 can also be used as a 6-bite BCD code event counter which is widely used in the system. Since the calendar clock device configuration's supply can be used as the protective power supply for RAM, the the 256 bytes RAM can be regarded as nonvalatile RAM.
