AT29C040

The AT29C040 is a kind of 5-V only in-system flash programmable and erasable read only memory (PEROM). Its four megabit of memory is organized as 524,288 words by 8 bits.

There are some features of AT29C040 as follows: (1)fast read access time: 120 ns; (2)5-V only reprogramming; (3)sector program operation: single cycle reprogram (erase and program), 1024 sectors (512 bytes/sector) and internal address and data latches for 512 bytes; (4)internal program control and timer; (5)hardware and software data protection; (6)two 16KB boot blocks with lockout; (7)fast sector program cycle time: 10 ms; (8)DATA polling for end of program detection; (9)low power dissipation: 50 mA active current and 100A CMOS standby current; (10)typical endurance: >10000 cycles; (11)single 5 V±10% supply; (12)CMOS and TTL compatible inputs and outputs.
