BCM4716

Description

The BCM4716 is a complete router system-on-chip for basic 802.11n routers with the optimal balance of performance and affordability. BCM4716 combines a 2.4GHz radio, 802.11n MAC, baseband, and Gigabit Ethernet MAC with a high-performance 300MHz processor and other components into a single monolithic die.  The extreme integration of BCM4716 can reduce the cost difference between 802.11n and 802.11g routers.

The BCM4716 reduces system cost without sacrificing performance. It leverages Broadcom's superior radio and digital architecture to maintain data rates of up to 300 Mbps. BCM4716 also features Accelerange(tm) technology to ensure robust wireless signals over a larger coverage area, which is critical for video streaming and other low-latency applications.
