CD4543B

The CD4543B is a BCD-to-seven segment latch/decoder/driver designed primary for liquid-crystal display(LCD) applications.It is also capable of driving light emitting diode(LED),incandescent, gas-discharge, and fluorescent displays.This device serves as direct replacement for the CD4056B in that it has a display blanking capability instead of a level-shifting function and requires only one power supply.

Features of of the CD4543B are:(1)display blanking of all illegal input combinations; (2)100% tested for quiescent current at 20 V; (3)provides cascading feature to handle any number of input; (4)maximum input current of 1 uA at 18 V over full package-temperature range;100 nA at 18 V and 25; (5)standardized, symmetrical output characteristics; (6)latch storage of code.

The absolute maximum ratings of the CD4543B can be summarized as:(1): DC supply-voltage range(VDD) is -0.5 V to +20 V(voltages referenced to Vss terminal); (2): input voltage range, all inputs is -0.5 V to VDD+0.5 V; (3): DC input current, any one input is ±10 mA; (4): operating temperature range(Ta) is -55 to +125; (5): storage temperature range(Tstg) is -65 to +150.
