The CS4954 provides full conversion from digital video formats YCbCr or YUV into NTSC and PAL composite, Y/C(S-video) and RGB, or YUV analog video.Input formats can be 27 MHz 8-bit YUV, 8-bit YCbCr, or ITU R.BT656 with supprot for EAV/SAV codes.Video output can be formatted to be comatible with NTSC-M,NTSC-J,PAL-B.D.G>H.I.M.N. and combination N systems.

Features of the CS4954 are:(1)six DACs providing simultaneous composite, S-video, and RGB or component YUV outputs; (2)programmable DAC output current for low imped-ance and high impedance loads; (3)programmable HSYNC and VSYNC timing ; (4)VBI encoding support; (5)NTSC closed caption encoder with interrupt; (6)host interface configurable for parallel or I2C compatibel operation; (7)on-chip voltage reference generator.
