The DLT1040 is designed as fiber optic data link transmitter. DLT1040 is high performance cost efficient modules for serial optical data communications applications with data rates up to 125Mbd. The typical applications of DLT1040 include FDDI concentrators, bridges, routers&gateways, local area networks, point to point data communications.

The DLT1040has five features. (1)Fuil FDDI. (2)Single +5V power supply. (3)Compact ST connectorized 16-pin DIP package. (4)Pin compatible with ODL125. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings for The DLT1040 have been concluded into several points as follows. (1)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (2)Its lead soldering temperature /time would be 240°C for 10 seconds. (3)Its Vbb output current would be min -1mA and max +1mA. (4)Its output current (other outputs) would be min 0mA and max 30mA. (5)Its input voltage would be min Vee and max Vcc. (6)Its power supply voltage would be min 0V and max 6V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristicsof The DLT1040 are concluded as follow. (1)Its output center wavelength would be min 1270nm and typ 1300nm and max 1380nm.
