DS1742-100

The DS1742-100 is designed as a full function, year 2000 compliant (Y2KC), realtime clock/calendar (RTC) and 2Kx8 nonvolatile static RAM.

DS1742-100 has ten features. (1)Integrated NV SRAM, real time clock, crystal, power-fail control circuit and lithium energy source. (2)Clock registers are accessed identical to the static RAM. These registers are resident in the eight top RAM locations. (3)Century byte register. (4)Totally nonvolatile with over 10 years of operation in the absence of power. (5)BCD coded century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes, and seconds with automatic leap year compensation valid up to the year 2100. (6)Battery voltage level indicator flag. (7)Power-fail write protection allows for ±10% Vcc power supply tolerance. (8)Lithium energy source is electrically disconnected to retain freshness until power is applied for the first time. (9)Standard JEDEC byte-wide 2kx8 static RAM pinout. (10)Quartz accuracy ±1 minute a month at 25°C, factory calibrated. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of DS1742-100 have been concluded as follow. (1)Its voltage on any pin relative to ground would be from -0.3V to +6.0V. (2)Its operating temperature would be from 0°C to 70°C. (3)Its storage temperature would be from -20°C to +70°C. (4)Its soldering temperature would be 260°C for 10 seconds. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some DC electrical characteristics of DS1742-100 are concluded as follow. (1)Its active supply current would be typ 15mA and max 50mA. (2)Its TTL standby current would be max 3mA. (3)Its CMOS standby current would be max 3mA. (4)Its input leakage current (any input) would be min -1uA and max +1uA. (5)Its output leakage current would be min -1uA and max +1uA. And so on.
