Description

The SCSI2 and SCSI3 standards recommend theuse of active terminations at both ends of every cablesegment in a SCSI system with singleended driversand receivers. The DS2114 SCSI Terminator, which isfully compliant with these standards, enables the de-signer to gain the benefits of active termination: greaterimmunity tovoltage drops on the TERMPWR (TER-Mination PoWeR) line, enhanced highlevel noise im-munity, intrinsic TERMPWR decoupling, and very lowquiescent current consumption. The DS2114 integratesa regulator and nineprecise 110 ohms termination re-sistors into a monolithic IC. The DS2114 is intended forcable end terminator assemblies and devices where theterminators do not need to be isolated from the SCSIbus.
